Mental health is an illness that not everyone can recover from only a few patients manage to get better. Some patients are born with mental health conditions while others develop them due to traumatic life events—such as heartbreak business losses or constant torture and excessive tension. When a person suffers from mental health issues they lose their sense of understanding they are consumed by constant tension unable to sleep at night or find peace during the day.
Some are born with these conditions but many others become mentally ill after enduring immense suffering. There are cases where people are labeled as "mentally ill" during childhood for minor issues just so the family can claim government financial aid and benefits to cover medical expenses. Initially the child doesn't realize what is happening but as they grow up the realization that their own family labeled them "mad" just for money causes them to spiral into actual mental instability. Some families even go as far as pushing a person back into illness just as they are starting to recover. In my view if a person has the talent to achieve something and earn a living, keeping them labeled as "mentally ill" is a grave mistake that could even lead to legal consequences or imprisonment.
Many mental health conditions are treatable. People who suffer due to failed relationships, business losses or harassment can be helped. If you simply talk to them and ask about their problems they will provide the details of what they are going through. While congenital (birth) conditions are harder to treat, even those patients can sometimes recover or lead meaningful lives.
Unfortunately some people are kept labeled as "mad" even after they recover because their families worry about how they will survive at their age. In trying to control someone else's life, these families often ruin their own peace. Furthermore conditions like epilepsy (fits) are often misidentified as "madness" making the sufferers life extremely difficult.
A person who is innocent and stable deserves peace. If you harass someone unnecessarily they will eventually lose their mental balance. You should never provoke someone who is mentally ill as they might react violently in self-defense.
The words I have written in this article reflect my own life. I faced health issues and difficult circumstances. I had to face many challenges to prove my sanity but I never lost hope. I stood firm and faced every struggle with courage.
